AI literacy for ethical use of chatbot: Will students accept AI ethics?
Yusuke Kajiwara, Kouhei Kawabata (2024)
Computers & Education: Artificial Intelligence
Detalles Cerrar โœ•

Tipo: artículo

Metodología: estudio empírico

Temas: inteligencia artificial

Resumen:

Texto completo

In AI literacy education, there are few examples of education based on AI ethical principles, and limited knowledge exists regarding curriculum design that incorporates AI ethical principles and its effects. Therefore, in this study, we propose a curriculum that teaches the ethical use of large language models (LLM) such as ChatGPT and verify its impact on educational effectiveness and technology acceptance among students aged 12 to 24. The validation results show that the proposed curriculum particularly contributes to the understanding of LLM concepts and their ethical use in decision support. We also demonstrate that experience using ChatGPT influences the level of understanding of...

Tipo: artículo

Metodología: trabajo teórico

Temas: alfabetización

Resumen:

Texto completo

This article discusses the results of the study on college-level academic literacy conducted by...

Metodología: revisión bibliográfica

Temas: inteligencia artificial

Resumen:

Texto completo

Background: The use of Artificial Intelligence (AI) has increased in all education sectors including K-12 settings where students can learn about AI and have an augmented learning experience using AI. Purpose: The purpose of this systematic review is to provide a more complete and nuanced understanding of the role and impact of AI in K-12 education by synthesizing publication trends, AI research themes, AI methods and technology applications, and AI use by students and teachers in K-12 educational settings. Methods: The systematic review searched Web of Science and six databases indexed in EBSCO host. A PRISMA flow chart was applied to search and screen for studies. Articles were screened...

Detalles Cerrar โœ•

Tipo: artículo

Metodología: trabajo teórico

Temas: inteligencia artificial

Resumen:

Texto completo

As with other sectors over the last few years, Generative Artificial Intelligence (GenAI) is rapidly reshaping the education ecosystem introducing new epistemic, ethical, and organisational challenges. Education leaders face the need to shift established systems and processes to reimagine how more adaptive complexity-informed GenAI enabled systems operate with new governance, pedagogy, and strategic decision-making. In this context, traditional bureaucratic leadership structures are ill-suited for the pace, scale, and sociotechnical nature of the ongoing technological disruption. This paper addresses this gap by introducing a novel leadership framework called SPARK, designed to...

This report is intended to point out some of the problems that affect the validation of criteria to assess the linguistic complexity of the productions of L2 students in multilevel proficiency assessment tests. Furthermore, I will make a proposal to deal with those challenges...

Detalles Cerrar โœ•

Tipo: artículo

Metodología: estudio empírico

Temas: inteligencia artificial

Resumen:

Texto completo

With the widespread use of Generative AI in education, effectively utilizing and integrating it into teaching have become key focal points and challenges in education. Different subjects and target audiences require varied norms and strategies for implementing Generative AI, such as ChatGPT. These differences directly impact the educational integration of Generative AI in various educational contexts. To address these disparities and establish common ground, we propose the concept of ChatGPT literacy to bridge research gaps. In this study, we tailor the concept of ChatGPT literacy specifically for language teachers, aiming to delineate the essential competencies needed to proficiently and...

Gen-Mentor: A human-in-the-loop instructional framework for dental radiography using generative AI
Yiyun Dong, Chuanyang Peng, Yichen Wu (2026)
Computers & Education: Artificial Intelligence
Detalles Cerrar โœ•

Tipo: artículo

Metodología: estudio empírico

Temas: inteligencia artificial

Resumen:

Texto completo

Integrating artificial intelligence into medical imaging offers potential for dental education. While existing models automate diagnosis, they often lack the interpretive depth needed for comprehensive student training. To address these limitations, this paper presents Gen-Mentor , a human-in-the-loop instructional framework that integrates the DentDiff-VLM backbone into a dental-radiography workflow. The backbone uses Faster R-CNN to localize four target radiographic findings: Filling, Implant, Impacted Tooth, and Cavity. A conditional diffusion model supports curriculum expansion by generating class-specific synthetic ROI candidates as candidate instructional assets. A vision–language...

Leveraging generative AI for course learning outcome categorization using Bloom's taxonomy
Omaima Almatrafi, Aditya Johri (2025)
Computers & Education: Artificial Intelligence
Detalles Cerrar โœ•

Tipo: artículo

Metodología: estudio empírico

Temas: inteligencia artificial

Resumen:

Texto completo

Learning outcomes are clear and concise statements that describe what students should be able to do or know at the end of a particular course. These statements are crucial in instructional planning, curriculum development, and assessment of student progress and learning. Although there is no universal guidance on how to develop learning outcomes, Bloom's taxonomy is one widely used framework that helps instructors develop outcomes that reflect different levels of thinking, from basic remembering to creative problem-solving. This study investigates the potential of generative AI, specifically GPT-4, in classifying course learning outcomes according to their respective cognitive levels within...
