En el contexto digital actual, promover la alfabetización en inteligencia artificial (IA) resulta fundamental, ya que sus usos están modificando la vida cotidiana y el ámbito laboral. El objetivo de la investigación es sintetizar los beneficios de la inteligencia artificial en el aprendizaje de lenguas extranjeras. El enfoque es cualitativo, orientada bajo una revisión sistemática de evidencia reciente (2022–2025), siguiendo los lineamientos PRISMA. La búsqueda se llevó a cabo en Scopus, Web of Science e IEEE Xplore. Se identificaron 299 artículos iniciales; se seleccionaron 176 estudios para el análisis. This article examines the role of advanced generative AI chatbots, particularly ChatGPT, in supporting Spanish language teaching. It explores how ChatGPT can aid educators in developing language learning tasks, utilizing a five-step model and backward design methodology. Through an exploratory and descriptive approach, the study sheds light on ChatGPT's potential in task generation. The article shows that ChatGPT can produce a broad array of integrated tasks for the interpretive, interpersonal, and presentational modes, targeting specific learning objectives and standards. Virtual exchanges (VE) are gaining popularity as an opportunity to provide learners with authentic language and intercultural experiences mediated by technology. This article presents the results of a VE project aimed at developing intercultural and digital competences among Spanish Language Teaching (SLT) learners and trainee teachers. Among the main components of the project, the design, implementation and monitoring of telecollaborative tasks constitute key elements for the success of the project. The VE was carried out with Spanish learners in Ireland and Spanish and Latin American trainee teachers in Spain. Many students learn foreign language (FL) vocabulary via instructional videos outside of traditional classrooms, as there is no limit to time or space. Cues (e.g. coloring, highlighting, arrows, and text) are design features in instructional videos that not only guide learners' attention, but also facilitate the organization and integration of information.
