Detalles Cerrar βœ•

Tipo: artículo

Metodología: revisión bibliográfica

Temas: inteligencia artificial

Resumen:

Texto completo

Artificial Intelligence (AI) is significantly changing school education. The increasing prevalence of AI calls for a framework of AI-related literacy specifically tailored to the educational context. A growing body of research has attempted to conceptualise AI literacy (AIL) from different disciplinary perspectives and with different foci. This systematic review aims to provide a comprehensive overview of definitions and psychological dimensions of AIL in school education by addressing the following questions: how is AIL defined and conceptualised, what are the dimensions of AIL, and what psychological dimensions are included. A total of 2642 records were identified from various databases,...

Not for people like me: How frontier AI models redirect skeptical rural school staff
Zachary Rossmiller (2026)
Computers & Education: Artificial Intelligence

Tipo: artículo

Metodología: estudio empírico

Temas: inteligencia artificial

Resumen:

Texto completo

As AI enters schools, the staff it affects are increasingly urged to consult conversational AI about whether to adopt it—yet that AI is built by organizations with a commercial stake in adoption, raising the possibility that systems consulted by skeptical users are predisposed to encourage it. We test this with a fixed prompt in which a rural Montana K–12 school administrative aide voices two concerns: that AI may threaten her job, and that AI companies do not have people like her in mind. Ten frontier models from ten laboratories are each sampled 500 times at temperature 0.7. The 5000 responses are scored by a blind three-model AI panel (three model families, two openness regimes) on a...

The integrative literature review addresses the conceptualization and implementation of AI Literacy (AIL) in Higher Education (HE) by examining recent research literature. Through an analysis of publications (2021–2024), we explore (1) how AIL is defined and conceptualized in current research, particularly in HE, and how it can be delineated from related concepts such as Data Literacy, Media Literacy, and Computational Literacy; (2) how various definitions can be synthesized into a comprehensive working definition, and (3) how scientific insights can be effectively translated into educational practice. Our analysis identifies seven central dimensions of AIL: technical, applicational,...

Tipo: artículo

Metodología: estudio empírico

Temas: inteligencia artificial

Resumen:

Texto completo

In this factor-informed exploratory CFA/SEM study, AI-literacy-related domains were treated as theoretically informed and empirically tested predictors of AI-TPACK readiness rather than as fully validated independent latent variables. Artificial intelligence (AI) is increasingly entering mathematics education, making it important to understand how preservice teachers become ready to integrate AI-supported tools pedagogically. This study examined AI-TPACK readiness among 130 preservice mathematics teachers at a South African public university. Exploratory factor analysis using polychoric correlations indicated that the AI-TPACK readiness items were essentially unidimensional; one weak design...

Generative Artificial Intelligence (GenAI) chatbots continue to amaze users worldwide with their rapid improvements. These tools possess vast general knowledge and can thus be used in various fields, including education. However, before rolling out these models in pedagogical applications, it is fundamental to understand whether the information provided is reliable and if any of the currently available chatbots are best suited for domain-specific tasks. The objective of this study is to thoroughly investigate these aspects in a specific domain, fermentation, with the overarching goal of providing guidelines to students and teachers to select the best GenAI assistant. To achieve this goal,...

Computational thinking (CT) skills are crucial to teach. The rise of Generative AI could potentially revolutionize the teaching of these skills by changing learning experiences and outcomes. Educators are rapidly integrating these tools into their educational activities; however, the best practices for doing so remain unclear. Existing reviews on GenAI are either too broad in regards to studying specific tools such as ChatGPT for learning, or too limited in terms of studying computational thinking with a focus on programming. As such, this paper aims to summarize existing knowledge and extract best practices and avenues for future research and practice around GenAI and computational...

Metodología: estudio empírico

Temas: inteligencia artificial

Resumen:

Texto completo

As Generative Artificial Intelligence (GenAI) becomes increasingly integrated into higher education, there is a limited understanding of how students perceive this technology and how such perceptions influence learning and the associated systems. This study investigates how students metaphorically conceptualize GenAI, e.g., as a social actor, technique, learning material, or structure, particularly when engaging with a GenAI system designed to enhance intercultural competence, and how these conceptualizations relate to students' reported learning and professionalization-related reflections. Utilizing a triangulation of qualitative methodologies, namely Content Analysis and Grounded Theory,...

Large language models (LLMs) are increasingly used for automated essay scoring, yet their underlying scoring mechanisms remain insufficiently understood. This study systematically compared the scoring behavior of three LLMs (Qwen, GPT, and Gemini) with human raters on English essays written by non-native learners. Sixteen textual features were analyzed to compare score alignment, feature weighting, subgroup consistency, and feature interactions. Results showed strong overall alignment but distinct feature weighting patterns between the LLMs and human raters. Specifically, the LLMs placed greater emphasis on grammatical accuracy, lexical sophistication, and syntactic complexity, indicating a...
