In the current study I explore the relationship between epistemology and methodology through a reanalysis of production data on grammatical gender in additionallanguage Spanish that were analysed in Gudmestad et al. (2019). This reanalysis consists of a shift in the epistemology from the one adopted by Gudmestad et al., where gender marking, which occurs between nouns and both determiners and adjectives, is a unified linguistic phenomenon. The growing popularity of online language learning means that both experienced language professionals and novices are developing and delivering all or part of their language classes online. This study set out to query practicing online language educators as to how they view themselves; that is, their professional vision of themselves and their craft. Este estudio aborda la problemática que entraña el proceso de enseñanza-aprendizaje de las emociones en las construcciones inversas con verbos psicológicos (p. ej. me gusta) en el aula de Español Lengua Extranjera (ELE). En estas construcciones, un Estímulo externo actúa sobre un Experimentador y genera en este un evento mental particular (p. ej. sentimiento de agrado). Examinamos exhaustivamente este tipo de construcciones en 10 manuales de ELE con el fin de dilucidar su tratamiento y partimos de la hipótesis de que su explicación gramatical no incorpora aspectos comunicativo-cognitivos. This article presents a study on Google Translate search strategies among 16 Swedish senior high school students (age 17?18) engaging in writing tasks during their sixth year studying Spanish L3. The students wrote on laptops with Internet access and were allowed to use Google Translate to search for Spanish words.
