Resumen:

Texto completo

This study presents the results of the implementation of Generative-AI Interactive Textbook, an intelligent textbook built on a large language model based on GPT-4, which is directly integrated into the subject of Electrical Engineering course and provides interactive, adaptive teaching functions. The textbook was deployed in the 2024/2025 academic year, and the data was compared with the summary results from 2021 to 2024. The sample consisted of 736 students. The results suggest that the effects associated with the introduction of GenAI-T vary depending on the type of assessment and the analytical context. In multi-year analyses, a statistically significant improvement in mid-term...

Resumen:

Texto completo

Generative AI-powered agentic systems are increasingly proposed for educational applications. However, the research landscape remains fragmented, and the relationship between technical capabilities and pedagogical design remains poorly understood. To address this gap, this scoping review systematically mapped 474 studies published between January 2020 and May 2026. Guided by three research questions, we analysed publication characteristics, study designs, agent roles, AI models and architectures, six dimensions of agentic capability, and the extent to which educational theory was incorporated. The results show that the field has expanded rapidly, particularly since 2025. At the same time,...

Resumen:

Texto completo

This research explored the typologies of self-regulated learners in an asynchronous online Chemistry I (OCI) course of an undergraduate active learning program. Student readiness and capability regarding self-regulated learning (SRL), the activity logs in the learning management system, and academic achievement were collected to investigate behavioral sequences of different typologies of learning self-regulation. Seventeen students who took OCI in the 2019 school year were recruited for the study. Through learning analytics for the 3965 behavioral codes, the study generated three key results. First, hierarchical cluster analysis classified two typologies of self-regulated online learners:...

Artificial intelligence (AI) teaching is becoming an increasingly popular topic among educators and researchers, but the research on AI curriculum for K-12 classrooms was under-explored. Currently, most studies examine the curriculum content of the United States and the European countries. However, there has been limited research on AI learning design and activities in the Asia-Pacific region. This meta-review examined 14 research papers on AI curriculum for K-12 classrooms that were taken in the Asia-Pacific region from 2018 to 2021 by identifying the content knowledge, tools, platforms, activities, theories and models, assessment methods, and learning outcomes of the selected studies. The...

Resumen:

Predictions of the timelines for when machines will be able to perform general cognitive activities that rival humans, or even the arrival of “super intelligence”, range from years to decades to never. For researchers in the education sector, the potential future state of AI, while provocative, is secondary to important shorter-term questions that influence how AI is integrated into learning and knowledge practices such as sensemaking and decision making. AI is not a future technology. It is already present in our daily lives, often shaping, behind the scenes, the types of information we encounter. It is, therefore, important to consider immediate questions surrounding the dynamics of human...
