Desde que se constituyó como disciplina científica a comienzos del siglo XX, la lingüística se dedicó durante décadas a estudiar el sistema lingüístico centrando su estudio en la oración como máxima unidad de análisis. Sin embargo, tanto el estructuralismo con Ferdinand de Saussure como el generativismo con Noam Chomsky establecen la distinción entre langue y parole el primero y entre competencia y actuación el segundo, dejando constancia del habla concebido como acto individual en uso.
Since it was established as a scientific discipline at the beginning of the 20th century, the Linguistic was devoted for decades to study the linguistic system focusing its study on prayer as the maximum unit of analysis. However, both the structuralism with Ferdinand de Saussure as generativism with Noam Chomsky establish the distinction between langue and parole, the first one and between competition and performance the second one, leaving evidence of the speech conceived as an individual act of use.
