About the Role
Beginning September 2026, we are seeking to recruit an outstanding Primary Language Teacher (Spanish and Catalan) to join our team at the BSB City Campus. We are looking for a committed and enthusiastic practitioner who will work collaboratively across the Primary phase and demonstrate a strong understanding of effective language acquisition in both Spanish and Catalan and can deliver the LOMLOE curriculum.
The successful candidate will deliver engaging, structured, and progressive language lessons that promote confidence in speaking, listening, reading, and writing. They will use assessment effectively to support language development and ensure that all pupils make strong and sustained progress.

The Role
• Deliver high-quality Spanish and Catalan lessons across the Primary phase, modelling outstanding practice in an innovative and inspirational way.
• Have high expectations of all pupils and track progress using formative assessment strategies, informed by relevant data and observations across a range of speaking, listening, reading and writing opportunities.
• Demonstrate a strong understanding of effective language acquisition pedagogy, including phonics, pronunciation, vocabulary development, and oracy.
• Contribute to the development and delivery of a coherent, progressive and engaging Spanish and Catalan curriculum across the primary years.
• Provide clear feedback and communicate effectively with parents, ensuring that both pupils and families are aware of strengths, progress and next steps in language learning.
• Work collaboratively with colleagues to ensure language learning is embedded where appropriate across the wider curriculum and to support cover capacity across the school when required.
• Actively engage with the school’s performance management programme.
• Work with colleagues and members of the SLT to ensure that school improvement priorities are effectively implemented within the language provision.
Who We Are Looking For:
• Bachelor's Degree and QTS or international equivalent essential.
• Significant teaching experience in Primary School.
• Languages: English is essential and Spanish is desirable.
