Ascend International School is seeking an enthusiastic and collaborative PYP Spanish Teacher to join our Primary School team. The successful candidate will be committed to creating engaging, inclusive and student-centred language learning experiences aligned with the IB Primary Years Programme (PYP) and the school's mission and educational philosophy.
Key responsibilities: plan and deliver engaging, differentiated Spanish learning experiences for students with a range of language competencies and abilities; collaborate with colleagues to develop and deliver the curriculum and support transdisciplinary learning; foster student voice, agency, responsibility and action through meaningful language-learning experiences; monitor, assess and document student progress in relation to learning objectives and curriculum frameworks; provide appropriate support for students' academic and pastoral needs; maintain accurate records, portfolios, evidence of learning and required documentation; communicate effectively and professionally with students, parents, colleagues and school leadership; lead at least one extracurricular activity each semester and contribute to field trips and other learning experiences; participate actively in professional development, parent-teacher conferences, school events and community activities.
Full time, permanent. Start date: 12 July 2027.

- Qualified and experienced Spanish language teacher with experience teaching Primary-aged students.
- Experience with the IB PYP or a strong understanding of inquiry-based, student-centred learning is desirable.
