ISL is seeking two passionate and reflective Spanish Language B Teachers for its Upper School, teaching within the IB Middle Years Programme and Diploma Programme. Teachers help learners develop proficiency in Spanish through authentic, inquiry-based instruction that encourages cross-cultural communication and meaningful use of the language.
Responsibilities: design inquiry- and concept-based Spanish learning experiences; develop listening, speaking, reading and writing skills using authentic materials; collaborate on interdisciplinary initiatives; prepare students for MYP and DP assessments; differentiate instruction for varied proficiency levels; foster learner agency through assessment and feedback; build inclusive classroom cultures that promote wellbeing; use digital tools and learning management systems, and guide critical, ethical engagement with AI; contribute to pastoral care and advisory roles; and engage in professional reflection and growth.
Start date: 19 October 2026. Full time, 40 hours per week.

Essential
- Recognised teaching qualification and a relevant university degree (MA preferred)
- High-level proficiency in Spanish appropriate for teaching Language B
- Experience teaching Spanish as an additional language at secondary level
- Strong inquiry-based, student-centred and differentiated teaching skills
- Ability to create inclusive learning experiences for multilingual learners
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
