Raha International School, Khalifa City Campus, is looking for an MFL teacher of Spanish on a maternity cover contract. The role centres on inspiring instruction with a deep understanding of individual student needs: representing areas of knowledge, understanding and skills, and engaging students to achieve beyond expectations.
Teachers plan lessons taking account of diverse learning styles, maintain professional communication with parents, contribute to the work of the department and support the events of the school community.
Start date: January 2027. Full-time maternity cover.
The post comes with a visa, a housing allowance or provided accommodation, a relocation allowance and an annual flight allowance.
Bachelor's degree in education, or an equivalent degree with PGCE/PGDE or QTS in the relevant subject area.
A minimum of two years' experience in recognised or international school environments is preferred, as is a background in international school settings and experience of DSIB, OFSTED or similar inspection authorities. IB teaching experience is desirable but not essential.
An outstanding classroom practitioner with a successful teaching record; excellent communication skills, including high standards of professionalism in written and spoken English; knowledge of contemporary educational research; familiarity with UAE educational developments is preferred.
