Hiroshima University hereby invites applications for one position, either at the Associate Professor (primarily responsible for education) or Assistant Professor (primarily responsible for education) level, in the field of Spanish language pedagogy, Spanish linguistics and/or literature, Hispanic socio-cultural studies, or related areas. Work content and job description

The appointee will be responsible for approximately 640 hours per year, primarily teaching Spanish language courses within general education and designated programs (e.g., Basic Spanish, Intensive Spanish, Spanish Communication Skills Enhancement). This corresponds to a teaching load equivalent to conducting ten classes per week in a single term (8 weeks), with each class counting as 2 hours (including a 90-minute lecture plus preparation and related work).

  Overtime and other explanations : If the discretionary labor system for professional work is applied with the employee’s consent, the employee is deemed to have worked 7 hours and 45 minutes per day, or 38 hours and 45 minutes per week.
