The Department of World Languages at the University of South Florida, Tampa, is seeking candidates for an appointment to a full-time, 9-month and non-tenure earning visiting position with the possible extension for a second and/or third year to teach Spanish at the rank of Visiting Assistant Instructor or Visiting Assistant Professor of Instruction, effective August 7, 2026.
Responsibilities
Teach all levels (elementary to advanced) of undergraduate Spanish language.
Minimum Qualifications:
- MA from an accredited institution in Spanish or a related field of specialization
- native or near-native competence in Spanish and English
- demonstrated success in teaching Spanish language courses
Preferred Qualifications:
- experience teaching all levels of Spanish language courses plus cultural content courses
- experience with online instruction
- PhD from an accredited institution in Spanish or a related field of specialization
- Training in Second Language Acquisition
