Fixed Salary: €49,500 per annum

Applications are invited for a specified purpose post of a Teaching Fellow in Spanish Studies within UCD School of Languages, Cultures and Linguistics.
The School of Languages, Cultures and Linguistics wishes to make a temporary appointment for a Teaching Fellow in Spanish. This is a one trimester replacement post covering for a member of staff on maternity leave starting on 01 September 2026.
The successful candidate will prepare, design, deliver and assess high-quality language and content modules in the Spanish undergraduate programmes, and will undertake such administrative duties as assigned by the Head of School or her nominee.
- A PhD in Hispanic Studies.
- Proficiency in Spanish (at CEFR level C2), combined with excellent communication skills in English.
- A proven ability and willingness to teach on Spanish language modules and on other modules outside areas of specialist research interest.
- Willingness to make a significant contribution to the general administration of the Subject.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills and willingness to work as part of a team in a professional and collegiate manner.
