Do you see education and learning as a way of life rather than just a job? Are you a ‘risk-taker’ with a healthy balance between purposeful intensity and a good sense of humour? If so, then St Gilgen International School is looking to recruit a committed and enthusiastic Teacher of Spanish Language Acqusition to contribute to the future growth of our amazing school.
The successful candidate will also be expected to contribute to all aspects of learning within our 24/7 boarding school environment, including co-curricular activities, student mentoring and boarding house care; this does include some evening and weekend commitments.
St. Gilgen International School (StGIS) was founded in 2008 as a co-educational boarding and day school for students aged 9 to 18. We are currently embarking on a fresh chapter; going from strong to stronger together. If you want to be part of this journey, and work at a school that is friendly and purposeful; one which aspires to HIGH STANDARDS in a low threat atmosphere of collaboration and mutual support, then please review the attached information and submit your tailored application as detailed.
The successful candidate will be an excellent and innovative classroom practitioner with a passion for teaching languages across the full school age range. Experience of teaching at IB Diploma level, or equivalent, would be advantageous, as would IB Middle Years Programme experience.
Candidates who can also teach German language acquisition or German A (mother tongue) are likely to be considered favourable.
To apply, carefully review the attached application pack, and submit the requested information through the TES Quick-Apply option. Alternatively, if you are unable to submit through the TES portal, please email the required documents (CV and tailored Supporting Statement) to humanresources@stgis.at addressed to our Head of School.
The DEADLINE for applications is Monday 19th January 2026, however we reserve the right to appoint prior to this date and a rolling review of applications will take place, so early interest is encouraged.
