We are seeking an enthusiastic and committed Teacher of Spanish to join our Modern Foreign Languages Department on a maternity cover basis. The successful candidate will deliver engaging lessons, inspire a love of languages and support students to achieve their full potential.
The role involves teaching Spanish across the relevant key stages, monitoring student progress and contributing positively to the wider life of the school.

As Teacher of Spanish, you will deliver engaging and well-structured lessons across the relevant key stages, supporting pupils of varying abilities to achieve their full potential. You will maintain high standards of teaching, learning and behaviour whilst contributing positively to the wider life of the school.
Your responsibilities will include:
· Teaching Spanish across the relevant key stages
· Planning and delivering engaging and differentiated lessons
· Assessing, monitoring and reporting on pupil progress
· Preparing pupils for examinations where appropriate
· Maintaining excellent classroom management and behaviour standards
· Supporting the wider aims and ethos of the Modern Foreign Languages Department
· Attending parents’ evenings, school events and departmental meetings
· Promoting safeguarding, wellbeing and pastoral support for all pupils

- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
- Strong subject knowledge in Spanish
- The ability to inspire and motivate young people
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
- A collaborative and positive approach to working with colleagues
- A strong commitment to safeguarding and pupil wellbeing
- Experience teaching GCSE Spanish and the ability to teach an additional language would be advantageous.
