We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Spanish Teacher to join our Languages Department. This is an excellent opportunity for someone starting their teaching career or looking to develop their skills within a supportive environment.
As a Spanish Teacher at Mulberry School for Girls, you will be responsible for delivering engaging lessons that inspire students at Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4. You will help foster language skills, cultural awareness, and confidence in using Spanish both inside and outside the classroom.
As a mainscale teacher, you will provide excellent teaching of the subject and be a role model to students. You will work closely with the Head of department on a process of continuous improvement, ensuring that the school continues to deliver even better outcomes for students. In addition to a teaching commitment, all teachers are expected to undertake pastoral responsibilities. In this capacity you will be either a Form Tutor or an attached member of staff.
Full Time, Fixed Term. Start date: As soon as possible.
- Have relevant qualifications and experience including QTS
- A good standard of education; ideally with some knowledge or qualification in Spanish language or related studies
- Strong communication skills with the ability to engage and motivate secondary school students
- Willingness to learn and adapt teaching methods suitable for Key Stage 3/4 learners
- Basic understanding of curriculum planning and assessment principles preferred but not essential
- Ability to work collaboratively within the Languages Department and wider school community
- Have an understanding of the needs of pupils with Special Educational Needs and be able to respond to those needs
The successful candidate will require an enhanced DBS clearance.
