The Department of Spanish at Gettysburg College invites applications for a one-year Visiting Assistant Professor of Spanish, beginning August 2026, to teach the equivalent of 6 courses during the academic year (3 courses each semester at the beginning and intermediate levels of Spanish language instruction), pending budgetary approval.
Gettysburg College is a highly selective liberal arts college located within 90 minutes of the Baltimore/Washington metropolitan area. Established in 1832, the College has a rich history and is situated on a 220-acre campus with an enrollment of over 2,200 students.
Experience teaching Heritage Speakers and Spanish for the Professions is preferred. Native or near-native fluency is required. Dedication to effective, empathetic, and innovative language teaching at the undergraduate level is essential. Ph.D. preferred, ABD considered.
