Salary: KRW 40,000,000 / year + Publication Incentives (same rate as tenure-track).
Position: Non-Tenure Track Research-Focused Professor (Full-Time)
Start Date: March 1, 2027
Appointment Conditions & Compensation
- Contract: 1-year initial contract (renewable every 2 years based on performance).
- Teaching Load: 3 credit hours per semester.
- Benefits: Medical discounts at KU Hospitals; eligibility for promotion to Associate Professor after 3 renewals.
Key Re-appointment Criteria
- Year 1: Submit 1+ paper to SCIE/SSCI/AHCI journals within 8 months.
- Every 2 Years Thereafter: Publish 2+ papers in H3-level or higher journals (at least 1 as lead/corresponding author).
- Ph.D. degree (by August 12, 2026).
- Native Spanish speaker (from Spain or Latin America).
- Qualified to teach in both Spanish and English.
- Open to all fields in Spanish & Latin American Literature, Culture, or Area Studies.
