This is an exciting opportunity for Middle School Spanish educators who are dedicated to nurturing curiosity, inspiring achievement, and contributing to the success of every student at DAA.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver engaging and interactive Spanish lessons to students, following the school's curriculum and educational standards.
- Develop and implement creative and effective teaching strategies to inspire a love for Spanish and foster critical thinking skills.
- Collaborate with colleagues to create a positive and supportive learning environment.
- Ensuring continuity in the delivery of curriculum content.
- Differentiate instruction to meet the diverse learning needs of students.
- Foster a positive and inclusive classroom culture that encourages curiosity and exploration.
- Participate in parent-teacher conferences and maintain open communication with parents regarding student progress.
Successful candidates will need:
- A Bachelor of Education degree, or an initial degree in relevant subject area, plus a relevant teaching qualification such as a PGCE/PGDE/teaching license or Level 5 equivalent specialism in Spanish/MFL.
- Proven experience teaching Middle School Spanish, preferably within an American/IB curriculum school.
- Strong knowledge of inquiry-based learning and hands-on Spanish education.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Ability to build strong relationships with students, parents and colleagues.
- A strong desire to continually improve their practice and deliver outstanding teaching and learning experiences for their students.
