Successful applicants will have/be:
- educated to degree level, with a recognised teaching qualification.
- in a school environment, experience of teaching Spanish to children aged 10 to 18 years old.
- in a school environment, experience of teaching Portuguese to children aged 10 to 16 years old.
- experience of teaching native speakers.
- experience of teaching non-native speakers of all abilities.
- ability to teach I/GCSE Spanish.
- ability to teach I/GCSE Portuguese.
- ability to teach AS/A Level Spanish.
- exceptional subject knowledge.
- a proven track record of providing outstanding teaching and learning.
- a high level of written and spoken English.
- committed to ensuring high standards of teaching and learning.
- collaborative and able to work as part of a team.
- inter-culturally aware with well-developed interpersonal skills.
- a willingness to contribute in a positive manner to all aspects of the school vision, including extra-curricular activities.
It is desirable that candidates have/are:
- experience of teaching I/GCSE Spanish.
- experience of teaching I/GCSE Portuguese.
- experience of teaching AS/A Level Spanish.
- experience of teaching in the UK and / or in a British curriculum school.
- first aid trained.
- child protection trained.
