This position is in the College of Education, Humanities, and Behavioral Sciences. The position is a full-time (9-month) non-tenure-track position in the Department of English and Modern Languages.
Examples of Duties
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Teach undergraduate courses in Spanish.
- Participate in the activities of the department, college, and university including recruitment and new course development.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Minimum Position Requirements (including years of experience, certifications, licenses, etc.):
- Master's degree in Spanish, Spanish Education, or a related field.
- Proficiency in Spanish (speaking, reading, writing, and listening)
- At least one (1) year to three (3) years of teaching experience at the college level – Spanish courses.
- Must have evidence of excellence in teaching.
- Experience in teaching elementary and intermediate language courses.
- It is highly desirable that candidates be familiar with innovative teaching techniques and best practices in pedagogy.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Excellence oral and written communication skills
- Demonstrated excellence in teaching at the university level
