Pending budgetary approval, the West Texas A&M Department of English, Philosophy and Modern Languages is seeking applicants for a one year Visiting Assistant Professor of Spanish beginning in August 2023. We are looking for a qualified candidate in any field related to Spanish Peninsular Literature and Culture, Latin American Literature and Culture or Latinx Studies with a strong interest in Spanish language pedagogy. Teaching load is 3-3.
Requisitos
Applicants should have experience, enthusiasm and excellence in college-level teaching, including teaching Spanish as a second language. Candidates should also have native or near-native proficiency in English and Spanish, and a willingness to contribute to a collegial Spanish program.
A commitment to and experience teaching Heritage Spanish Speakers is preferred.
A Ph.D. is required. ABD candidates with a dissertation defense date no later than Aug. 1, 2023 will be considered.
