Job Description
- Teach Spanish B and Spanish ab Initio at IBDP level
- Teach Spanish at iGCSE and in Key Stage 3 - UK Years 7-9
- If required, teach Spanish at Upper Primary levels, in Years 5 and 6.
- Create a positive and dynamic learning environment that nurtures students’ passion for world languages and supports sustained language development.
- Implement teaching strategies grounded in comprehensible input to promote natural language acquisition and fluency.
- Be willing to take on roles such as form tutor or trip leader whenever necessary.
Essential Qualifications and Experience
- A recognised teaching qualification from the UK or a Commonwealth country
- At least 3 years of teaching experience
- Experience of working in a British-style education setting
- Experience in teaching the IB Diploma Programme or A Levels is essential
Desirable Qualifications and Experience
- An understanding of what high-quality Global Citizenship Education looks like in an international school setting
- Experience of teaching in more than one school
- Creative use of technology for learning
- Experience of working as a form tutor/homeroom teacher
- The opportunity to offer a second language - French or Mandarin - in Upper Primary and Key Stage 3 would be an advantage.

Interviews

- The first stage involves review of a recorded lesson observation and the seeking of references. Following this, suitable candidates will be contacted for a first stage interview with our Middle and a member of Senior leadership
- Second stage involves the most suitable candidates identified from the first stage, and the interview takes place with the Senior Leadership Team
- A final stage interview takes place for selected candidates only with our Head of School.
