Nord Anglia International School Hong Kong is looking to recruit a modern foreign language teacher (Spanish and French) to join our Secondary team, to drive excellent teaching and learning in the subject of Modern Foreign Language (Spanish and French).
As a qualified Teacher of Modern Foreign Language (Spanish and French) your focus will be to:
- Lead initiatives to boost student participation and school spirit.
- Support enrichment activities and school events.
- Strengthen parental engagement through clear communication and progress updates.
- Deliver dynamic, inclusive, and effective lessons.
- Foster creativity, problem-solving, and design thinking.
- Use data-driven strategies to support diverse learning needs.
- Integrate digital tools to enhance learning experiences.
- Serve as a Form Tutor and contribute to the IB curriculum.
- Develop and implement curriculum-aligned lesson plans.
- Ensure rigorous assessment and timely feedback.
- Contribute to curriculum innovation and quality assurance.
- Engage in continuous professional learning.
- Reflect on practice to improve teaching effectiveness.
- Uphold school values and contribute to a positive school culture.
The Successful Candidate will possess:
- Qualified to Bachelor of Education or appropriate Degree with PGCE in relevant Modern Foreign Language (Spanish and French) subject
- Qualified Teacher Status
- Qualified teacher with experience teaching in a UK and/or international environment
- Modern Foreign Language (Spanish and French) Training or similar qualification
- Minimum of 2 years’ teaching experiences
- Knowledge and understanding of students’ learning and development and how this relates to Modern Foreign Language (Spanish and French) practice
- Knowledge and awareness of current educational developments in Modern Foreign Language (Spanish and French)
- Evidence of knowledge and understanding of wider educational developments
- Knowledge and experience in raising standards for all groups of students
- How to plan, deliver, monitor, and evaluate lessons and learning as part of the school curriculum
- Knowledge of the English National Curriculum and related subject knowledge
- Knowledge of assessment and reporting procedures
- Knowledge of IGCSE, A Level and IB syllabus and all associated examination arrangements
- Ability to integrate technology into the classroom experience to enhance and extend the learning of students
- Hold a current Enhanced Criminal Records Bureau Disclosure for all countries lived in.
- Compliance with visa requirements for working.
- A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of all students, and a willingness to undertake appropriate child protection training when required.
