The Department of Romance, German, and Slavic Languages and Literatures within The George Washington University is seeking a Visiting Instructor in Spanish Language, Literatures, and Cultures to begin as early as Fall 2021. The successful candidate will be expected to teach 2 courses per semester at the 3000 and 4000 level in the Spanish Literature Program to satisfy requirements for the Spanish major and minor. Area of specialization is open. The successful candidate will also teach one or two language classes per semester in the Spanish Language Program.
Applicants must have an M.A. in Spanish and Latin American literatures and cultures, native or near-native fluency in both Spanish and English, experience teaching Spanish literature courses at the college level. Ability to work with task-based and content-based pedagogy, and be able to provide evidence of teaching excellence as demonstrated by evaluations, teaching assessments, and letters of recommendations.
