The Department of World and Classical Languages and Cultures at Benedictine College invites applications for the position of Visiting Instructor of Spanish beginning August 1, 2025. This is a one-year position with potential for renewal. Review of applications will begin immediately and will continue until the position is filled.

Benedictine College has a full-time undergraduate enrollment of approximately 2400 students and is a mission-centered academic community. Its mission as a Catholic, Benedictine, liberal arts, and residential college is the education of men and women within a community of faith and scholarship. Benedictine College provides a liberal arts education through academic programs based on a core of studies in the arts and sciences. In addition, the college provides education for careers through both professional courses of study and major programs in the liberal arts and sciences. Responsibilities include teaching four first-year Spanish classes per semester. Additional responsibilities include attendance at department and faculty meetings and engagement in the life of the Department and College.

Requisitos 

Education
The minimum requirement is a Master’s degree in Spanish. 

Experience
Preference will be given to candidates with relevant experience teaching Spanish at the post-secondary level using appropriate communicative language teaching methodology. Preference will be given to candidates with training in and/or experience with the Oral Proficiency Interview
