UNLV’s Department of World Languages and Cultures invites applications for a full-time, renewable Faculty-in-Residence position in Spanish to begin Fall 2022.
The appointee will teach a variety of lower- and upper-division courses based on department needs, with a 4/4 teaching load.
This position requires a Ph.D. in Spanish from a regionally accredited college or university and a native or near-native command of both Spanish and English, along with a record of successful teaching at the university level. Credentials must be obtained prior to the start of employment.
Experience and successful record in teaching Spanish for the Professions courses (e.g. for Medical or Legal profession, for the Tourism Industry, for Business, for educators) strongly preferred; ability to teach Culture classes and literature a plus.
