The Department of Languages at Clemson University seeks qualified and motivated candidates for two positions of Lecturer in Spanish with a beginning date of August 15, 2025. These are full-time, nine-month, annually renewable positions teaching primarily elementary and intermediate Spanish. In addition, successful candidates will have experience or training to develop and teach one or more course(s) as needed for heritage speakers of Spanish and/or Spanish for legal purposes.

Teaching a 4/4 load is the primary responsibility, with some expectation of service to the department. The nine-month salary falls within market range and includes a benefits package. Additionally, there are summer teaching opportunities.

The Department of Languages is dedicated to the study of nine languages and their diverse cultures and literatures. In Spanish, we offer two BA degrees (in Modern Languages and Language & International Business) and a BS degree in Language & International Health. The College of Arts and Humanities at Clemson has recently declared the study of the Law as one of its pillars. We are known for our outstanding and enthusiastic faculty, dedicated to the well-being of local and regional communities.

Requisitos 

A strong background in teaching undergraduates is required. The successful candidate must hold a minimum of a master’s degree in a relevant field at time of appointment; those with more advanced degrees are also welcome to apply.
