The Department of Languages and Intercultural Studies at Coastal Carolina University invites applications for a full-time lecturer of Spanish to begin August 2025. The successful candidate will be able to teach all levels of Spanish language as well as occasional English-language courses in our Intercultural Studies program. Preference will be given to candidates with demonstrated ability to teach in one or more of the following areas: Spanish for Healthcare, Spanish for the Professions, and Spanish/English Translation/Interpretation. Strong interest in community engagement or study abroad is highly desirable. The teaching load for this position is 30 credits per year (approximately equivalent to a 5-5 load).
Requisitos
Candidates must have at least a master’s degree in Spanish language, literature, or culture or a closely related discipline, possess near-native fluency in Spanish, and evidence of effective teaching in undergraduate courses. Additionally, their application materials should provide evidence of the candidate’s ability to contribute to a multi-language department that values a variety of perspectives.
