Starting Salary is £30,896 per annum pro rata inclusive of London Allowance.
This is the expected starting salary for this post; appointment at a higher point may be made for candidates who demonstrate exceptional skills and experience relevant to the role. Working weeks per year are 41 with holiday hours included. Salary is calculated pro rata at 0.78 with payments made in 12 equal monthly instalments.

Applications are invited for the post of Language Tutor in Spanish in the Department of Languages, Literatures and Cultures to start 3 January 2023. This is a permanent, term-time only post.
The successful applicant will join a vibrant department hosting students of Spanish, French, German and Italian, as part of a wide choice of flexible degree programmes.
The appointee will be expected to teach, convene and examine undergraduate courses in Spanish language and translation at all levels, to contribute to administrative duties, and to attend relevant meetings as required. They will work closely with the Departmental Language Co-ordinator and the Undergraduate Education Lead, in areas including curriculum design, lesson planning, and the implementation of learning technologies.
The post is based in Egham, Surrey, where the College is situated in a beautiful, leafy campus near to Windsor Great Park and within commuting distance from London.
Applicants should have a proven track record of excellence in teaching Spanish or, in the case of early career candidates, relevant experience and demonstrable potential.
Ideally applicants should have experience of teaching Spanish language at both beginners’ and advanced levels, and preferably in a university environment. They should have a strong commitment to developing innovative and inclusive teaching materials, an ability to engage creatively with students, and a native or near-native command of spoken and written Spanish.
Please note that it will not be possible for the College to issue a Certificate of Sponsorship for successful candidates as the pro-rata salary will not meet the minimum threshold set by UK Visas and Immigration. Successful candidates will therefore need to be eligible to work in the UK or have limited leave to remain in the UK and associated right to work for the duration of their employment with the College, in accordance with the Immigration, Asylum and Nationality Act 2006.
