Western Carolina University’s World Languages departments seeks a 9-month fixed-term Instructor of Spanish. Anticipated begin work date is January, 2022. Review of applications will begin immediately and will continue through August 31st, 2021. Interested candidates need to submit application materials before the close date.
Teaching load: 4-4.
This position is open to candidates that are legally authorized to work in the U.S. and do not require the immigration-related sponsorship of WCU.Minimum Qualifications
- M.A. degree in Spanish, Spanish Linguistics, or Applied Linguistics with at least 18 graduate credit hours in Spanish
- Preference will be given to candidates who have experience and interest in designing, leading, and advising for study abroad programs, including faculty-led programs.
- Additionally, candidates should have experience and interest in developing extra- and co-curricular activities that positively impact student engagement and contribute to the growth of the Spanish major and minor programs.
