Performs administrative duties in the management and coordination of a large specialized project and program. Under general supervision, performs varied and complex administrative duties requiring independent judgment and the application of established policies and procedures. May provide supervision and direction to clerical, para-professional or professional staff members.
Major/Essential Functions
- Collaborates across the TTUHSC enterprise to develop and co-create a continuum of Spanish language learning experiences that address the needs of learners, team members, and communities to integrate language training into health-related academic and clinical settings.
- Implement and sustain Spanish language micro-credential professional development experiences for TTUHSC learners spanning all professions at the university.
- Design, implement, and sustain Spanish language micro-credential professional development experiences for TTUHSC team members.
- Partner with the Office of External Relations and other communications leaders to ensure Spanish language marketing and outreach materials reflect institutional excellence and linguistic accuracy.
- Serves as a thought leader and institutional representative for Spanish language integration.
- Works within TTUHSC's clinical enterprise as a resource to embed the Spanish language into patient care environments and related communications.
- Works cross-functionally in support of university-sponsored community initiatives to ensure linguistically responsive engagement.
- Researches and pilots emerging technologies that support Spanish language integration in TTUHSC settings.
- Supports the Senior Director for Institutional Excellence & Culture in assessing progress on Spanish language integration across the TTUHSC enterprise.
- Develops and Maintains Institutional Guidelines and Toolkits for Spanish Language Integration.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Requisitos
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in the area of specialization or closely related field plus four years of related administrative and technical experience OR a combination of education and/or years of experience in the area of specialization or closely related field to equal a minimum of 8 years.
Preferred Qualifications
- Fluent in both English and Spanish, with the ability to read and write in both languages.
- Experience designing curriculum to support bilingual fluency in a higher education setting.
