Descripción 

George Fox University announces a full-time, non-tenure-track faculty and administration position in Spanish, to begin in August 2025. This educator/administrator will provide curricular oversight to the Spanish minor, teach a range of Spanish classes, and develop programs with multiple university stakeholders-including the department of English and Languages, the Center for Study Abroad, and International Student Services-to support the Spanish minor and modern languages at George Fox University. The ideal candidate will demonstrate:

  • a passion for the Spanish language, along with the literatures and cultures of the Spanish-speaking world
  • an aptitude for studying and working in a variety of international and multicultural contexts
  • creativity in diverse teaching experiences

Candidates with entrepreneurial expertise or organizational management experience, fluency in multiple modern languages, and/or expertise in second-language acquisition, language teaching methods, and language pedagogy are especially encouraged to apply. 

Requisitos 

We're looking for candidates who have:

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Spanish, comparative literature, education or a related field.
  • Fluency in Spanish.
  • The ability to teach a range of courses including: beginning Spanish, advanced courses in Spanish/Latinx literatures and cultures, and Cornerstone (general education) classes in either Writing or Literature.
  • Permanent and unrestricted work authorization in the United States.
  • A personal commitment to Jesus Christ and express their Christian testimony in a church. In addition, employees agree to live in agreement with the Community Lifestyle Statement and affirm the theological commitments expressed in the Statement of Faith.
