The college of Liberal Arts and Sciences is seeking a qualified candidate to teach as a full-time, tenure track Assistant Professor of Spanish. This is a residential appointment and campus presence is required.
Responsibilities include 4/4 teaching load, scholarship, and service. Teaching load will include 1000- and 2000-level foundational Spanish courses in addition to a variety of upper-division courses. Courses may be offered in-person, hybrid, or online. The candidate is expected to serve the institution and remain active in the profession. Perform other related duties as assigned.
Start date is August 2025.
Requisitos
Minimum Job Requirements:
- Ph.D in Spanish required (ABD considered).
- Ideal candidates will have a strong generalist academic background and expertise in, but not limited to, one or more of the following fields: Peninsular literature, translation/interpretation, and/or Peninsular culture and civilization. Latin American literature, linguistics, or second language acquisition is a plus.
- Experience in online and/or hybrid settings.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Ability to work effectively with a wide range of constituencies in a diverse community
