The University of North Florida, Department of Languages, Literatures and Cultures in collaboration with the UNF English program, invites applications for a full-time, tenure-track Assistant Professor of Spanish and Latin American studies with a specialization in at least one of the following areas: Mexican, Central American, and/or Mexican-American/Chicano literature; migration/border studies. Ecocritical approaches to Latin American literature and cultural studies are welcomed.
Responsibilities
Teaching, research, and service. This position (3-3 teaching load), together with promotion and tenure appraisals, will be based in the Department of Languages, Literatures and Cultures. As part of their 3-3 teaching load, the successful candidate will teach at least one English-language course related to their field of expertise per year. That course will be with the UNF English program. The remaining courses will include teaching undergraduate and/or graduate Spanish language, literature and culture or other related courses per assigned teaching schedule. Requisitos
The position requires a PhD in Spanish, Hispanic Studies, or a related field. Native/near-native fluency in Spanish and experience teaching Spanish-language courses at the college level is also required.
