Fixed term for two terms from 30 September 2024 to 29 March 2025.

One of the largest Colleges in the University of Oxford, with around 860 students, St Anne’s is known for being down-to earth, ambitious, outward facing and collaborative. We aspire to understand the world and change it for the better.

We are seeking an enthusiastic, self-motivated, talented tutor able to undertake five contact hours a week of tutorial and/or small class teaching averaged over the first two eight-week terms of the academic year 2024/25.   Duties will include setting and marking written work, assisting students with study skills, revision and essay writing, submitting reports, and providing assistance with undergraduate admissions if requested. 

You will teach Spanish, and in particular: set texts for first year examinations, medieval literature, and translation into English.

Requisitos 

We are looking for someone who:
• can teach Spanish in tutorial and small class contexts at undergraduate level;
• has the ability to assess the work of high performing students, using up-to-date techniques across a range of media;
• has familiarity with the Oxford Modern Languages undergraduate courses;
• has the ability and willingness to participate in a full range of pedagogic, pastoral, and organisational tasks in the College;
• demonstrates collegiality, and has good communication skills, and sensitivity in dealing effectively with any pastoral matters that may arise.

• your relevant teaching experience and how you can meet the teaching needs of the College
• your capacity for delivering tutorials on a broad range of subjects in the course syllabus, and your willingness to include tutorials for them on essay writing. Also, your ability to provide some more advanced tutorials for 4 th year students.
• how you meet the selection criteria.
