£35,116 to £46,735 per annum pro-rata depending on skills and experience. Salary progression beyond this scale is subject to performance.

The Department of Modern Languages and Cultures at the University of Nottingham is seeking five Teaching Associates to deliver language teaching for clinical communication in Arabic, British Sign Language (BSL), French, German, and Spanish.
These full-time roles includes 12.5 hours teaching per week (medical students), convening the ‘Language for Clinical Communication’ module, and developing supporting materials. You will also contribute to assessment design and marking, and engage in departmental activities.

We are looking for candidates with a degree in the relevant language, native or near-native proficiency, and experience in communicative language teaching. A PGCE, PGCHE or equivalent teaching qualification is essential. Experience in higher education and using e-learning tools is desirable.
