An earned Ph.D. in Spanish is required for the position; ABD candidates are invited to apply. Qualified applicants will have the following: experience teaching undergraduate Spanish language courses in a U.S. 4-year college or university setting; professional activity related to the pedagogy of language, literature or culture; and native or near-native fluency in both Spanish and English.

Apply online.

The following materials should be submitted: cover letter of application, curriculum vitae, statement of teaching philosophy, and two complete sets of course evaluations from the most recent year of teaching. Selected candidates will be asked to submit two confidential letters of recommendation (at least one of which should address teaching) after the initial review. Applications that include all required information and are submitted on or before October 15, 2025 will be given full consideration.

Inquiries should be directed to Prof. Kathryn Mayers, Chair of the Spanish Department, at mayerskm@wfu.edu or to Wake Forest University Human Resources at askhr@wfu.edu.
