Louisiana State University, Department of World Languages, Literatures & Cultures in the College of Humanities and Social Sciences, invites applications for an Assistant Professor of Spanish Linguistics to begin August 2024.

Responsibilities
Strong program of scholarly research and publication; teaching language and linguistics classes at the undergraduate and graduate levels; 2/2 teaching load. Experience working in, and an ability to contribute to, a multicultural setting is essential.

Requisitos 

Required Qualifications
Ph.D. or equivalent degree in Spanish Linguistics or related area in hand by August 1, 2024; native or near-native proficiency in both Spanish and English. Candidates with Ph.D. in hand are preferred, but we will consider those who are close to completion and will finish by the time of the appointment.

Additional/Preferred Qualifications
Ability to teach advanced and/or graduate courses in semantics, second language acquisition, and bilingualism/language contact.
