The Department of Language and Cultural Studies, Anthropology, and Sociology at Eastern Kentucky University invites applications for a tenure-track position at the rank of Assistant Professor for Academic Year 2025-2026.
The successful candidate will teach all levels of undergraduate Spanish language, culture, and literature in a 4/4 annual teaching load with a student-centered focus. The successful candidate will be expected to participate in promoting the Spanish program and in various departmental activities and campus-wide initiatives.
The position begins August 2025.
Requisitos
Applicants should hold an earned Ph.D. in Spanish or a closely related field from an accredited institution at the time of appointment. ABD applicants may be considered by must have Ph.D. (verified by official transcripts) at the time of appointment.
It requires native or near-native fluency in Spanish, experience with Spanish-teaching methodology and Latinx community engagement, and interest in cross-cultural studies. Demonstrated experience with relationship-rich education, student academic and professional readiness is preferred.
