The Department of Hispanic Studies in the College of Arts Sciences at the University of Kentucky in Lexington, KY seeks to fill a tenure-eligible faculty position at the Assistant Professor level in Latinx Studies. This is a 9-month position in the regular title series with an anticipated start date of August 1, 2024. We seek a scholar with a robust research agenda focused on any area of Latinx studies (e.g., literature, film and media, visual arts, US Spanish, performance studies, social movements, etc.).We encourage candidates who have experience and familiarity with Spanish as a heritage language and will also be interested in developing comparatist Latinx-Latin American courses at the undergraduate and graduate levels, as well as in teaching Latin American undergraduate survey courses, beginning to advanced (heritage) Spanish language courses, and demonstrate an interest in engaging with our Latinx and Hispanic student community. We also encourage candidates who can participate in transdisciplinary scholarly dialogues with colleagues from other disciplines across the College of Arts and Sciences. Candidates are expected to teach in English and Spanish, and to demonstrate excellence in research, teaching, and service, with contributions to both the undergraduate and graduate programs.

Requisitos 

A Ph.D. in literary/cultural studies, comparative literature, media studies, or another comparable field is required.
