Main Purpose of the Role
The Spanish Teacher will plan, teach, and assess Spanish lessons to students across various age ranges and ability levels, promoting engaging and interactive learning experiences that aligns with the school’s inclusive, non-selective ethos and supports the overall vision and values of Broadoaks British School.
Key Responsibilities and Duties
- Plan and deliver engaging Spanish lessons for pupils of various ages and abilities
- Set and mark homework, assessments, and exams
- Monitor pupil progress and provide constructive feedback
- Develop and implement language schemes of work and curriculum plans
- Participate in departmental meetings and contribute to MFL faculty development
- Organise cultural events, trips, and activities to enhance language learning
- Collaborate with colleagues to share best practices and resources
Requisitos
Qualification and Experience
- Qualified Teacher Status/TRCN
- Bachelor's degree in Spanish Language, or related field
- Postgraduate teaching qualification (e.g., PGCE, PGDE)
- Experience teaching Spanish in a British school or similar educational setting
- Strong knowledge of Spanish language, grammar, and literature
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and teaching skills
- Ability to adapt teaching methods to meet diverse student needs
- This role requires the knowledge and experience of preparing students for IGCSE Spanish assessments.
