Descripción 

Financial support for PGCE Secondary trainee teachers is available. You could get a £24,000 tax-free bursary while you train. Check your eligibility for financial support, and find out more about the awards available.

Further financial support in the form of maintenance and tuition fee loans is available for all subjects from the Department for Education.

As one of the UK's leading centres for research and teaching in education, UEA’s 38-week, full-time Postgraduate Certificate in Education (PGCE) Primary and Secondary Teacher Training programmes have been developed in close partnership with schools across East Anglia. We offer both School Direct and University-led routes. Our training will provide you with skills and resilience for a rewarding teaching career.

Postgraduate Certificate in Education (PGCE): PGCE Secondary Modern Foreign Languages (Spanish)

Requisitos 

You need the following or equivalents:

  • a degree
  • grade 4 (C) or above in English and maths GCSEs
  • grade 4 (C) or above in GCSE science if you want to teach primary

If you do not have GCSE grade 4 (C), you’ll need to show that you can meet an equivalent level. The training provider may ask you to take an equivalence test or show other evidence of your ability.

If you studied overseas
You can get a statement from UK ENIC (the UK agency that recognises international qualifications and skills) that shows how your qualifications compare to UK qualifications. Some training providers may ask to see it as part of your application.

Our PGCE courses are offered with Master’s credits, which means that as well as graduating with Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) in England and Wales, you will gain credits towards a Master’s degree.
